FAQ
Is Aura free to use?
Yes. No subscription fees, platform fees, or hidden charges. Trading is always gasless — you never need to hold HYPE or POL to trade. (The only time network gas comes up is funding: depositing or bridging in from your own external wallet pays that chain's normal gas, while new Aura accounts (embedded wallet) have those transactions sponsored.) Most accounts also pay zero Hyperliquid builder fees until $1B lifetime volume, whether you signed in with a new Aura account or your own wallet — enabling trading sets Aura as your Hyperliquid referrer if your account doesn't already have one (referrals are permanent, so an existing different referrer means the small 0.001% fee applies). See Fees & Costs.
What chains does Aura support?
Hyperliquid (HyperEVM) for perps, spot, and HIP-3 tokens — and Polygon for Polymarket prediction markets. No manual chain switching required.
How do I add funds?
Two options: deposit USDC directly from Hyperliquid.com or the Hyperliquid app to your Aura wallet address, or buy with a card or bank transfer through the built-in Moonpay onramp. See How to deposit.
Do I need my own wallet?
No. Create a new Aura account with Google, Apple, or email — a dedicated embedded wallet is provisioned automatically. Or bring any EVM wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, WalletConnect) and sign in with it. See Embedded vs External Wallet.
What order types are supported on Hyperliquid?
Market orders, limit orders, and TP/SL (take-profit / stop-loss). Custom leverage per asset. Full details in Hyperliquid's docs.
What is an agent key and why does Aura need one?
An agent key is a Hyperliquid API wallet that lets Aura place orders on your behalf without requiring a wallet signature for every trade. It can only trade — it cannot withdraw, transfer, or move funds. You authorize it once per device and can revoke it any time from Hyperliquid. See What is an agent key?.
What is the builder fee?
A one-time approval that authorizes a 0.1% fee ceiling — the maximum Aura could charge per order without you re-approving. The actual rate today is far lower at 0.001% (0.1 basis point) per order, and most accounts pay nothing at all on the zero-fee path. When it does apply, it covers all Hyperliquid markets except perps.fun. It's how Aura funds development, and it's revocable any time from Hyperliquid. See Builder Fee.
How do I set my username?
Open your profile and tap Edit profile. Usernames can only be set once — contact support if you need it changed.
Is my Aura wallet the same as my external wallet?
No. If you use an external wallet to sign in, Aura creates a separate embedded trading wallet for Hyperliquid activity. Your external wallet is only used for authentication — Aura never touches it for trading.
What happens if I clear site data or reinstall the app?
Your funds and positions are safe — they live on Hyperliquid, not on your device. You'll need to re-authorize an agent key (one signature), which is normal. See Lost device or cleared storage.
